Biology Plant Retreat Schedule, Information, and Maps

Every Fall the Plant Biology Program holds a scientific retreat. The members of the Plant Biology Community gather for a day of research talks, poster sessions, shared meals and time for informal scientific and social discussion. This year's retreat will be held on Friday Oct. 17, 2008 at Shaw Nature Reserve http://www.shawnature.org/, near Pacific, MO. The keynote speaker is Dr. Antje Heese, Dept of Biochemistry, University of Missouri, Columbia.

Directions

Directions to the Dana Brown Overnight Education Center (Map)

Take I-44 west to Gray Summit exit #253.
At the top of the ramp, turn left and cross over I-44.
Proceed to traffic light and turn left. (Ignore the sign to the Shaw Nature Reserve, that is to the right.)
After you pass the Fireworks store, Pacific Video and the Laundromat on your right, take an immediate
right on Old Gray Summit Rd.
Proceed down Old gray Summit Rd about 1.5 miles to stone pillars on the right.
Turn right and drive up the road.
Pass the Freund Center, on your left, follow signs to the Dana Brown Overnight Education Center.
Please park in designated parking areas.
