Phelsuma of Mauritius, Reunion, and surrounding islands
There are at least seven species of day geckos in the genus Phelsuma in the Mascarene islands. These brightly colored lizards
can be found in a wide variety of habitats, and feed on insects, nectar, and pollen. Soon I will include more information and additional photos of each species.
