Research Program
My research is focused on understanding the patterns and processes of organismal diversification. Utilizing disparate biological methods are crucial to fully appreciate the evolution of life's diversity. Therefore, my work combines data from diverse fields such as systematics, ecology, molecular evolution, morphometrics, biogeography, geosciences, and natural history to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationships, interactions, and distributions among organisms. My study group is predominately though by no means restricted to iguanian lizards. These lizards are found throughout the world, except Antarctica, in almost every terrestrial habitat and in a few aquatic ones. This clade exhibits great variation in life history, behavior, ecology, and morphology.
